Couldn't ask for more.Beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Centrally located, and handy for restaurants and activities. Host was great. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend to friends and family.

My family and I stayed in this beautifuly appointed courthouse for a family getaway/ time weekend. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for something a wee bit different and need to take some time out. The property itself is situated on a quiet street, so noise is not an issue. Bars and restaurants are within walking distance if that is what you would prefer. It is self catering with a fully functioning kitchen. The host was amazing to deal with, with nothing being an issue. I found her very helpful and abliging willing to make our stay a pleasurable as possible. We really enjoyed our stay at the courthouse and would highly recommend a stay for that unique experience and time out. We will be returning for another visit, next time with will be a longer stay to soak up and explore more of the experience in the courthouse and the beautiful area of Te Aroha. I give 5 Stars. Te Aroha felt like a natural sanctuary, and the Courthouse sits right at its heart. From soaking in the Okoroire Springs to walking through the crystal-clear Te Waihou Blue Springs trail (an absolute must-do if in the area – I didn’t know about it until the host told me), it felt like a bit of a detox…followed up with a few bevvies in the evening as we played pool! The Courthouse itself is immaculate — clean, quiet, and bathed in light. The bed linen was heavenly, the tea selection endless, and having breakfast in the community garden next door was such a grounding start to our day. We booked Te Aroha Courthouse for a weekend with friends, and it couldn’t have been better. The kitchen had everything we needed for shared meals, the pool table brought out our playful side, and the mountain views were unbeatable. We loved being able to walk everywhere — bars, cafés, and the hot springs just minutes away. After a day exploring, we loved the little things – chocolates and fruit on the bench and cozy, crisp linen that made sleep come easy. Kathy thought of everything. Jason, Hahei

Stepping into Te Aroha Courthouse feels like stepping into a storybook, where the charm of heritage architecture meet the luxe of a modern retreat. You can tell Kathy undertook the restoration of the courthouse with love and consideration for its storied history. It's absolutely gorgeous and full of thoughtful touches. We loved it! 12/10

If you love hiking like I do, Te Aroha Courthouse is a fab HQ. I love you can hit various hikes of varying difficulties on Mt Te Aroha straight from Te Aroha Courthouse, & a short drive (3 mins) to one of my fave hikes is Hamilton Street which offers a river crossing hike with waterfalls & spectacular views. I did Waihi’s coastal trails too, & the waterfalls & hikes in Karangahake Gorge. After our hiking adventures, we walked to one of 2 natural hotsprings & we also hit nearby Okoroire Hot Springs - pure bliss for tired legs, feet & bums! Back at the Courthouse, the pool table reminded me just how competitive I am & kept us laughing into the night. The kitchen had everything we needed for hearty post-hike feasts & to top it off, the linen at the Courthouse is luxe & the beds super comfy. The place was spotless, comfortable, & full of character. It only 1.5hrs from Auckland, but it felt like a world away. ♥️Amanda
